How the ABC Study Contacts You

It’s important to know the different ways we may contact you, and what to do if you receive a message that you’re unsure about.

To help you recognise genuine communication from the Australian Breakthrough Cancer (ABC) Study at Cancer Council Victoria, below we’ve listed all the email addresses and phone numbers we use. This helps protect you from spam and ensures you can trust the messages you receive from us.We take the privacy of your data very seriously and want you to feel comfortable and confident about any communications from our team.

Why does the new address look different?

We are introducing info@email.abcstudy.com.au as part of our new and improved contact management system. It looks slightly different to our usual email address so it may look like spam at first, but it is legitimate and managed by the ABC Study team.

If you're unsure, you can always contact us directly on 1800 688 419 to confirm.

To help ensure our emails don't go to your spam or junk folder, we recommend adding the addresses listed above to your safe sender list or contacts.

You may receive a call from us for a several reasons, such as:

  • Inviting you to complete an ABC Study questionnaire
  • Confirming your contact details
  • Following up on your participation in the study

Text (SMS) Messages

Our text messages will now include a Sender ID; it will come from ABCStudy. This change is also part of our new contact management system.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to reply to our text message, but please give us a call if you have any questions or need any assistance.

 

How to Verify a Message is Genuine

If you would like to confirm that a communication has come directly from the ABC Study, you can:

  1. Check the email address or phone number against the list above.
  2. Call our team on 1800 688 419 if you’d like confirmation.
  3. Visit the ABC Study website directly by opening Google or your preferred browser, and search ‘ABC Study Cancer Council’. From here login to your account to view any outstanding actions we may have contacted you about.
